Karen Doten is an artist and art instructor from the Pacific Northwest. Her work is nature-based, with an emphasis on irregular patterns. In addition, she works from observation and abstractly.

For over twenty years, Karen has taught art at various colleges and universities. Currently, she teaches painting, drawing, design, sculpture, art for teachers, and art appreciation at Pierce College and Tacoma Community College.
